Driving License Category A1
Driving License Category A1 permits you to drive motorized two-wheeled vehicles. Specifically, it allows you to drive mopeds or small motorcycles that have engine power of no more than 11 kW.

Prerequisites
You need to be at minimum 16 years old in order to obtain a driving licence category A1. This license permits you to drive light motorcycles while categories A2 and A are reserved for larger motor vehicles. You must also complete an emergency course and complete a theoretical education in accordance with the entire syllabus. This is available from various driving schools. All driving schools follow the same curriculum, despite their costs may differ.
The practical training is made up of a number of driving lessons. These lessons are between three and four hours per. The instructors will teach the fundamentals of your motorcycle as well as the basic rules of road. The number of hours of instruction will be determined by your performance and abilities, but the syllabus requires at least five hours of instruction on federal roads and four hours of riding on country roads. Training

You also need an E category licence to tow trailers with an authorized maximum weight of greater than 750kg.
It is important to note that you must have the consent of your guardian to apply for an Driving License category A1. In Belgium, a full category-A licence is required to operate tricycles or a moped. You can drive a full category A1 motorbike only if you possess an A1 full category or full A2 licence. In certain countries, you may be able to gain more access to higher category licences by starting with less powerful motorcycles. In Germany for instance after two years' experience with Category A1 motorbikes it is enough to pass the practical exam and not the theory test, in order to upgrade to category A2. In Austria, it is also possible to obtain a full A license after five years (with a total of 9x1.5 hour training).
Theory test
The Driving License Category A1 exam is a two-part test which includes a theory portion and an actual part. The test is designed to give you the basics of understanding and knowledge of the highway code. You will need to pass both sections to receive your driving license. You can take your exams at any time prior to or following the completion of the mandatory basic training (CBT).
The theory portion of the exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions that you must answer correctly. It is recommended to prepare well for the test before taking it and to attend a theory course at an accredited driving academy or motorcycle training centre. After you have passed the theory test, you are able to schedule a practical test. You must have a valid driver's license and proof of identity to the test center, as well as the vehicle you'll be using for the test. You must wear a helmet and have all safety gear you need.
Once you've passed the practical part of the test, you'll receive your driving licence within two weeks. You must show your driving license every time you are requested. Practical test

After passing both the theory and practical test, you'll be issued the License A1. License A1. This license permits the driver to drive a motorcycle that has the maximum engine capacity of 125cc, and a power/weight relationship of no greater than 11.5 kW per kilogram. This licence permits you to drive trikes that have engines that is up to 125cc and the power/weight ratio is not more than 11 kW for each kilogram.
Besides the driving test, you must pass a medical examination before you can get your license. You will need to prove that you've completed a first-aid course and pass an eye test. If you are under 18, you will need the permission of the parent or legal guardian before you are able to apply for the driver's license.
